Desert Sand Resort, Avalon

I’ve loved staying at Desert Sand for years. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms are a huge plus, and the outdoor grill near the pool is perfect for a family dinner. However, two specific rooms had serious noise issues due to their outdated air conditioning units, which ruined the experience for us. Overall, it's a great place but watch out for those specific rooms and the inconsistent Wi-Fi.

I had a disappointing experience with this hotel that initially seemed promising due to its good proximity to local attractions. The room was just okay, and I felt uneasy about the entry code situation and the difficulty in communicating with staff about my concerns. Although I managed to get a refund through Expedia, the overall handling of my reservation was frustrating. It definitely wasn't the experience I hoped for based on the initial booking process.

The pools, both indoor and outdoor, were fantastic, adding to a fun-filled family vacation. Can't wait to return!
